On behalf of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, I bring warm Christian greetings to the entire membership of Christ Congregation, East London. You are not forgotten. You are loved. You are a vital part of the PCG family.
The work being done in East London is a testament to what God can accomplish through a committed people. In planting and growing a congregation far from home, you demonstrate the same missionary spirit that drove the Basel missionaries and African evangelists who first brought the gospel to Ghana over 175 years ago. Now you are the missionaries — carrying the faith to new shores.
The Europe Presbytery continues to grow, and Christ Congregation stands as one of its pillars. I urge you to deepen your roots — in Scripture, in prayer, in fellowship — so that you may bear fruit that will last. The General Assembly prays for you, is proud of you, and stands with you.
May the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen. — 1 Peter 5:10–11.
